A Workshop is intended for presentation of current works done by students attending the 2008 Summer School on Image and Robotics. The main objective is to favor technical discussions among students and researchers attending the school. The interests of these discussions are twofold:

  1. For the students, it will improve their ability for technical discussion.
  2. For the researchers, it will provide background information of students attending our school in view of potential doctoral students. We encourage you to present your work carried out in pursuing B. Sc., Master or Ph. D. degrees.

The Workshop will cover the following fields:

  • Robotics manipulation and motion planning
  • Mobile robotics
  • Sensor fusion
  • Reactive robotics and sensor-based robotics
  • Visual servoing
  • Vision-based control Vision
  • Medical robotics
  • Bayesian modeling
  • Path planning

The Workshop will consist of presentations of works by students and will include a round-table discussion among students and researchers. Students have to provide an abstract of their work by June 3th.

This abstract must be sent to the SSIR 2208 e-mail adress (see below) including the following information:

  1. Author name and affiliation.
  2. Nature of work (name of thesis advisor if applicable)
  3. Main objectives
  4. Main results
  5. Current status
